This week marks Women in Construction Week, a time to recognize the women who contribute across every part of the construction industry.
For Oline, this year’s recognition carries a meaningful connection to one of our active projects. The photo above captures members of our team at the Van Zandt project in Fort Worth, Texas. It is a fitting backdrop, as Fort Worth holds an important place in the history of women in our industry.
In 1953, sixteen women working in construction came together in Fort Worth to form what would later become the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Their goal was simple but significant, to create a network that supported women working in a field where they were vastly underrepresented. More than seventy years later, the impact of that moment is still felt across the industry.
At Oline, women play an important role in how we operate and how we deliver projects. Across our company, women contribute to project management, accounting, coordination, preconstruction, operations, and leadership roles that support the execution of our work every day.

Their professionalism, attention to detail, and accountability are an essential part of how our projects succeed. As we continue to grow as a company across new markets and project types, developing and supporting talented professionals, including the women on our team, will remain an important part of building a strong organization.
Recognizing Women in Construction Week from a jobsite in Fort Worth, where this movement began, is a reminder of the progress the industry has made and the work that continues ahead.
